Supplementation of calcium and magnesium may help maintain normal structures of bones and teeth and have many other benefits for example is a natural sedative and relaxant.
Calcium and magnesium for the health of bones and teeth
One of the basic factors determining the strong structure of the skeleton is the appropriate content of minerals in the body. After bone growth is complete, there is still much we can do to make it stronger, as mineralization (ie "the degree of bone mineral saturation") can continue up to the age of 30. After this period, however, we should not forget about the appropriate supply of calcium and magnesium, as it becomes more and more difficult to maintain the correct bone structure with age. In addition, these ingredients also participate in many other important physiological processes.
99% of the calcium in our bodies can be found in the bones and teeth, and it is vital for their growth, and structural integrity. Even though the bones may stop growing at full adulthood, the bones still need a continuous supply of calcium in order to maintain their strength, and proper function. As well as supporting the health of our skeletal structure and teeth, calcium also plays an important role in muscular function, the function of the central nervous system, and normal blood coagulation.
Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral element in the body. 60% of the magnesium in our metabolism can be found in the skeleton, where it helps support and preserve the normal structure of bones and teeth. It also plays an important role in the normal functioning of the central nervous system and muscles. It is also a vital factor in the energy production processes of the body, and assists in protein synthesis and normal cell division.
How does the Strong Bones ingredients work?
- take care of bone health (calcium, magnesium)
- take part in maintaining healthy teeth (calcium, magnesium)
- support the proper functioning of muscles (calcium, magnesium)
- contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue (magnesium)
- have a positive effect on the nervous system (calcium, magnesium)
- help in maintaining proper psychological functions
- contribute to proper blood clotting (calcium)
- participate in the process of cell division (calcium, magnesium)
- help in the proper functioning of digestive enzymes (calcium)
- take part in the synthesis of protein (magnesium)
- help maintain electrolyte balance (magnesium)
- contribute to the maintenance of proper energy metabolism (calcium, magnesium)
Who do we especially recommend?
- Everyone who wants to achieve high peak bone mass at a young age.
- Middle-aged and elderly people who want to maintain the correct bone structure and reduce the rate of bone loss.
- People who lead a sedentary lifestyle.
- People who do not eat dairy products.
- Smokers and people who consume large amounts of coffee and carbonated drinks containing phosphates.
Do you know that...
- in the body of an adult human there is approx. 1 kg of calcium, of which as much as 99% is located in the bones? The average diet does not get enough calcium. It is estimated that it covers 40-80% of the needs.
- Smoking, drinking coffee, tea, and high fiber consumption, as well as the oxalic acid and phytates present in some plants (e.g. sorrel, rhubarb) can inhibit calcium absorption. A high intake of protein and sodium can increase the removal of calcium from the body.
- The ideal ratio of calcium to magnesium should be 2: 1. Modern preparations, such as Strong Bones, contain both elements in this proportion.
- One capsule of Strong Bones provides as much calcium as a glass of milk or 1 serving of cheese and as much magnesium as 4 glasses of milk or 3 servings (100gr) of cheese.

Smoking, drinking coffee, tea, and high fiber consumption, as well as the oxalic acid and phytates present in some plants (e.g. sorrel, rhubarb) can inhibit calcium absorption. A high intake of protein and sodium can increase the removal of calcium from the body
It is not recommended to take a higher dose of calcium than 2000 mg per day for a long period of time, unless after consulting a doctor. The right amount of vitamin D, phosphorus and magnesium supports the absorption of calcium. Taking the daily amount of calcium in several doses increases its effectiveness.
It is not recommended to take high doses of magnesium (more than 1000 mg per day) over a long period of time.
Vitamin A, calcium and phosphorus increase the effectiveness of magnesium.
Experience shows that the ratio between calcium and magnesium should be 2: 1. Good preparations contain these two macronutrients in such proportions.
Calcium and magnesium are best absorbed when the preparation we take contains them in a chelated form.
Magnesium together with vitamin B6 prevents the accumulation of calcium stones in the urinary system.
Magnesium taken with a meal can make digestion difficult because it neutralizes the gastric juices. So it's better to take it between meals. However, in case of hyperacidity, a magnesium tablet taken on an empty stomach will effectively neutralize gastric juices and relieve symptoms.
People taking magnesium tablets for heart disease should discuss the dose of any other magnesium supplements with their doctor.
Strong Bones
Calcium with magnesium for bones
The active ingredients of Strong Bones are calcium and magnesium.
Calcium and magnesium belong to the so-called building blocks of minerals in the body. The calcium content in the body is about 2% of our body weight. 99% of this ingredient is found in bones and teeth, therefore it is needed to maintain their proper structure. It also plays an important role in the proper functioning of the muscles, nervous system and proper blood coagulation. Calcium and magnesium are needed for the proper functioning of the heart and circulatory system.
Magnesium
Magnesium is necessary for normal functioning of nerves and muscles. It is involved in directing the work 300 different enzymes and thus plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and proteins, and in the production processes and the utilization of energy. Delays the aging process, is beneficial to the cardiovascular system and prevent heart disease. A consequence of magnesium deficiency may be an increase in blood cholesterol levels and increased susceptibility to atherosclerosis.
According to some researchers, the appropriate dosage of magnesium increases the ability of the body's defense against infection, as well as improved intellectual ability. Magnesium"enemies" are diuretic pills and alcohol. Its natural source is oil grains, vegetables and drinking hard water.
Magnesium is needed to maintain the balance of calcium, sodium, potassium and phosphorus in the body, the ion exchange and absorption of vitamin C. It is recommended to increase the dose of magnesium during pregnancy and breast-feeding women drug users, and birth control pills or estrogen.
The greatest amounts of magnesium are found in bones (approx. 60%) and muscles (approx. 30%). It is also present in the intercellular space and in the cells themselves. It is essential in maintaining the proper structure of bones and teeth. It plays an important role in the proper functioning of the nervous system and muscles. It is a fundamental factor in some energy production processes in the body. It participates in protein synthesis, plays a role in the proper processes of cell division, and is responsible for maintaining the potassium-sodium balance in the body.
Calcium
Calcium helps the absorption of iron, relieves insomnia, builds strong bones and teeth and improves the nervous system. A deficiency of this element can cause rickets in children (especially in the case of concurrent deficiency of vitamin D), and in adolescent growing pains bones. However, in adults, an insufficient intake of calcium in the diet is associated with osteoporosis and osteomalacia. Furthermore, the high susceptibility to stress, allergies, increased susceptibility to inflammation, muscle cramps and severe problems with tooth decay may also indicate a lack of calcium in the body. Calcium and iron are two minerals, which often lack the basic diet of women. Unfortunately, they find out about it too late, only after the childbirth or when there are symptoms of osteoporosis.
Increased calcium intake often brings relief to people suffering from back pain and lower back, as well as relieving menstrual cramps.
Healthy adults generally need 800-1200 mg of calcium a day. Calcium "enemies" are fat, oxalic acid (eg present in chocolate) and phytic acid (contained in cereals). The best source of calcium is milk and dairy products, oil seeds (poppy seeds, nuts, etc.), soy and vegetables. We do not eat enough grains containing oil, and milk (often due to lactose intolerance) 70-80% of people can not digest, so almost everyone should supplement daily dose of calcium.
