Lecithin strengthens the cardiovascular system
Lecithin is involved in the metabolism of fat and cholesterol. This is related to the presence in its molecule of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which bind to cholesterol and facilitate its transport and removal from the body. Action of lecithin is beneficial to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and associated cardiovascular diseases.
Lecithin reduces cholesterol, triglycerides, possesses anti-platelet and prevents accumulation of cholesterol in the blood vessels
Lecithin, by the presence of polyunsaturated fatty acids bound cholesterol, makes it easier to transport and faster excretion of excess cholesterol from the body
Action of lecithin is beneficial to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and associated cardiovascular diseases.
Action of lecithin should also be associated with more efficient metabolism of cholesterol and a decrease in oxidative modification of LDL. Recent studies confirm the importance of inflammatory and immune factors in the development of atherosclerotic lesions. Lecithin has immunostimulatory properties resistance and perhaps that also thereby inhibit the development of atherosclerosis.

- Phytosterols in acai fruit reduce bad cholesterol in the blood by inhibiting its absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. Thanks to the structural similarity to cholesterol, phytosterols take its place in the micelles formed in the intestin, thus lower the amount of it is absorbed into the enterocytes (constituting cell lining of the intestinal mucosa).
